Adam Prescott founded Prescott & Hargrove in 2016 after seven years as a Senior Associate at Whitmore Bradford LLP, where he represented clients in complex commercial litigation, contractual disputes, and regulatory proceedings. His practice spans commercial litigation, business and contract disputes, consumer protection matters, regulatory proceedings, and employment-related disputes involving executive compensation and restrictive covenants.

Mr. Prescott is known for a methodical, document-driven approach to dispute resolution. He emphasizes timeline reconstruction, evidentiary preservation, and structured escalation—beginning with formal demand correspondence and negotiation where appropriate, and pursuing litigation in state and federal courts where necessary. His experience includes motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and appellate briefing.

Prior to private practice, Mr. Prescott served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard J. Leon, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, where he gained direct exposure to federal civil litigation and motion practice at the trial court level.

Ms. Hargrove previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Anna Blackburne-Rigsby, Chief Judge of the D.C. Court of Appeals, and the Honorable Lynn Leibovitz of the D.C. Superior Court. Before joining Prescott & Hargrove and Weil, she developed her expertise at multiple international law firms. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the UCLA Law Review.

Before law school, Ms. Hargrove worked at Morgan Stanley in support of its Fixed Income Trading Desk and various Operations teams, focusing on trade support, risk management, and business operations. She also acted as a liaison between the business unit and regulators, including FINRA and the Federal Reserve. This background in financial services regulation and institutional operations directly informs her litigation practice at the firm.
